At Boynton Beach Martial Arts Academy, our RBSD curriculum is centered on the Rapid Assault Tactics (R.A.T.) system. This "Golden Goose" methodology, developed by Paul Vunak, prioritizes the "Direct Path" to neutralizing threats using Jeet Kune Do (JKD) principles, HKE (Headbutts, Knees, Elbows), and Kino Mutai. 

 Our Reality-Based program at the Academy is structured for immediate functional application. We bypass the "sport" aspect to focus on the three critical phases of a violent encounter:

• Intercepting the Entry: Utilizing the "Interception" philosophy of Bruce Lee’s JKD to stop a threat before it develops momentum.
• The Maelstrom (HKE): Applying Headbutts, Knees, and Elbows to overwhelm an attacker’s sensory system in close-quarters combat (CQC).
• Tactical Grappling (Kino Mutai): Specialized  Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) adaptations designed for street survival, involving "unconventional" tactics to break holds and escape safely. 

 In the Boynton/Delray corridor, most schools focus on belt rankings. We focus on survivability. GM Pedro Rodriguez (9th Dan) is a credentialed Senior JKD Instructor within the Progressive Fighting Systems (PFS) lineage.
